Christian Career Coaching

A career coach assists a person in finding an environment in which their personal talents and gifts have the greatest chance to flourish and be of value (monetary and interpersonally).

  • To support / coach a person to link their gifts and talents with work or an environment that they were designed to pursue.
  • Support a person in finding and sustaining employment.
  • Advice on how to create a market orientated Curriculum Vitae and solid application documentation.
  • Provide one-to-one sessions (mainly via phone) to discuss either aspects of job search or remaining in employment.
  • Develop and conduct (or engage appropriate lecturer) special training workshops within the field of career development.
  • Provision of a short or long-term focused coaching engagement with both parties formally agreeing to be committed to the process.
  • If desired, conduct small-scale talent questionnaires that provide basic understanding of personal talents and gifts and which environment may be the best fit.

Just as the master in the Parable of the Talents expects his servants to do more  than passively preserve what has been entrusted to them, so God expects us to generate a return by using our talents toward productive ends (in church and in  the working place). The servant who received five talents had everything  necessary (personal talents and gifts) to produce five more; the servant who  received two had everything necessary to produce two more; and the servant  who received one had everything necessary to produce one more.
